08/31/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Produced under serial 44-74536 as a P-51D-30-NA by North American at Inglewood, California, USA, this aircraft was delivered to the USAAF in June 1945. After serving with at least eight different units the aircraft was stored at the Air Material Base at McClellan AFB near Sacramento, California. It was sold to a M. Parker in Texas in February 1958, and since has had about a dozen sequential owners. It came on the civil registry as N5452V in 1963.

It is pictured here while participating in the 1966 Los Angeles National Air Races, flown by David S. Allender Jr. of San Aario, California. The aircraft was listed as Racer number "19", and was named Wayfarer's Club Lady (previously Allender Mustang). Later that year it was reregistered N991RC, while in 1969 it became N991R. Since it has been listed as Racer number "11" and named Miss America. It is still registered as of this day."
