Boeing 299-O B-17G Flying Fortress

11/15/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Built by Lockheed-Vega as a B-17G-105-VE it first flew May 8, 1945, and was delivered to the USAAF, s/n 44-85718. On August 3, 1948 it was registered to IGN in France as F-BEEC. Between February 1965 and August 1966 it was registered in South Africa as ZS-EEC, thereafter returning to France and taking up its previous registration again, F-BEEC. On June 8, 1984 it went to the UK as G-FORT. It was sold to the Lone Star Flight Museum at Galveston, Texas, USA, on June 9, 1987, being registered to the museum as N900RW on July, 13, 1987."
