Farman MF.11

08/31/2010. Remarks by Kees Kort: "The picture shows an early model, recognizable by the diagonal struts connecting the ends of the unequal span wings, being replaced in later models by wires. Designed by Maurice Farman the MF.11 was nicknamed "Shorthorn", while the RFC officially designated it 'Maurice Farman 1914 type'. Of this early version, fifty (s/n A904 to A953) were produced by the Aircraft Manufacturing Company (Airco)."

Scenes from the Central Flying School, aircraft has a broken axle.
