03/16/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "XH648 first flew as a B.Mk.1 on November 27, 1959 and delivered to the RAF on the 22nd of the following month. After 10 months of service it returned to Handley Page for conversion to B.Mk.1A on October 25; it was delivered back to the RAF on May 11, 1961. On February 15, 1965, it was returned again to Handley Page for another modification, this time to the B(K).Mk.1A two-point tanker, while retaining its bombing capability. It was redelivered to the RAF on May 19, 1965. XH-648 made her last flight to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford on June 2, 1976."
