Australia ordered ninety-seventy M.B.326H high performance jet trainers, 85 for
the RAAF and 12 for the Navy. Twenty-one were produced by Aeronautica Macchi
(also known as as Aermacchi), the remainder were assembled/license built by Commonwealth
Aircraft Corporation (CAC). The first aircraft flew in Italy on February 10, 1967
and was delivered to the RAAF by CAC on October 3, 1967. |
