Sopwith Pup

04/30/2014. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The aircraft was purchased new from the RAF (hence the s/n C476 on the tail) in the Middle East at the end of WW I, seen here after assembly by C.D. Pratt (standing at the tail plane) and assistants.

The aircraft was registered in Australia as G-AUCK (c/n C476) on June 28, 1921, and operated by Pratt's Geelong Air Service. The aircraft was reregistered VH-UCK on March 28, 1929 and subsequent owners were J.L. Roche of Murrumbeena, Victoria, and W. Stillard of Deniliquin, New South Wales. It was withdrawn from use on April 9, 1945 and burnt."
