08/15/2008. Former USN BuNo. A-2109, the aircraft was registered on April 15, 1924. Only twelve days later, while taking off at Toronto, Ontario, the aircraft hit an obstruction and the hull was severely damaged. Seen being uncrated, a new hull was delivered from the USA and the aircraft was rebuilt in July 1924.

Three years later the aircraft was damaged beyond repair when it crashed at Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on October 19. 1927, after stalling in a turn at too low altitude. View also photo 8027 and the History Brief .
