Canadair CL 600-1A11 CC-144A Challenger

09/30/2012. First flown registered as C-GYLM, this aircraft was delivered to the CAF No. 412 (T) Squadron at CFB Ottawa (Uplands) on April 29, 1983. Wearing the old CAF "Canada" markings shown in the photo, the overall white finish denotes a VIP interior. By 1995 it was with No. 434 Squadron at CFB Greenwood, Nova Scotia, in 2000 it returned to No. 412 Squadron at Ottawa International Airport.

On May 24, 2012 the aircraft sustained substantial damage when it hit a turkey vulture while on approach to Tampa-Mac Dill AFB, Florida, USA. After seven weeks the aircraft had been temporarily repaired and was ferried to Canada on July 10, 2012.
