McDonnell F2H-2P Banshee

03/31/2008. The third F2H-2P produced, this aircraft was delivered to the USN in 1951 and is seen here in the markings of Composite Squadron 62 (VC-62) named Fighting Photos. This unarmed photographic reconnaissance version of the F2H-2 was the USN's first jet-powered reconnaissance aircraft. In the 2 ft 5 in (0.74 m) enlongated nose were fitted six vertical and oblique cameras, while a container for 20 flash cartridges for night photography could be carried under each wing. A total of 89 F2H-2Ps were built:
