Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.8

04/30/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This replica was built by Jack Gardiner and Robert Sebring in California, on June 19, 1980 it passed its airworthiness test and was registered the following day as N928. The same year Jack Garner flew it across the USA in 32 days and donated it to the museum.

The replica is powered by a modern 145 hp Continental air-cooled flat six engine instead of the original 100 hp Gnome Monosoupape nine-cylinder air-cooled rotary engine."
