04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 16th Caravelle built and it made its first flight on December 2, 1959. It was delivered to the French airline Air France as a Caravelle I on December 11, 1959. In 1961, it was converted to a Caravelle III with more powerful engines. The aircraft was withdrawn from service and stored at Pau, France, in June 1981." View also the History Brief .
