Boeing 747-409(LCF) Dreamlifter

12/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The 747 LCFs (Large Cargo Freighter), produced from second-hand 747-400s, are used to transport large components of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Three aircraft have been converted by Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. in Taipei, Taiwan, by fitting a new extended upper fuselage and a swing-tail for easy access. A fourth aircraft, N718BA, is being converted and is scheduled to fly in 2009.
