Shorts 330-100

04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft made its first flight on April 7, 1971 registered G-14-3009. The US registration N53DD was reserved by Command Airways but it was delivered to that carrier on May 21, 1977 registered N52DD. The aircraft was sold back to Shorts in December 1987.

In 1988, the carrier was purchased by AMR Corp, the holding company for American Airlines, and was renamed Command Airways/American Eagle Airlines. The aircraft was sold back to Shorts and leased by the carrier until April 1988 and was subsequently withdrawn from use and placed in storage at Reading Regional Airport/Carl A Spaatz Field, Reading, Pennsylvania.

It was transferred to a leasing company in November 1989 and again stored at the Harry S Truman Regional Airport, Bates City, Missouri in December 1993. The Federal Aviation Administration's registry states that the aircraft's registration expired in February 1993 and it was scrapped for parts."
