Airspeed AS.65 Consul

This aircraft was built as an AS.10 Oxford Mk.I and delivered to the RAF with s/n HN829. After the war Airspeed bought it back from the Government and converted it into the prototype of the ambulance version of the Consul. In its new configuration it flew for the first time in July 1947. It was sold to the French airline Société Indochinoise de Transports Aériens (SITA) for operations in Indo-China on May 19, 1948, registered as F-BEDP.
