Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Vladislav Verner, staff-member of the VZLU (Vyzkumny a ZkusebniLetecky Ustav, Aeronautical Research and Test Institute) designed and built the Broucek (Beetle), believed to be the first homebuilt designed in Czechoslovakia since WW II. The aircraft was flown for the first time by Rudolf Duchon in April 1970."
