09/30/2007. The French firm Société Anonyme des Aéroplanes Henri Potez developed this aircraft with a 310 hp Potez 9B air-cooled radial engine specially for participation in the Coupe Deutsch 1933 race. Two examples were built in record time, construction started in January, the first flight was made by Gustave Lemoine on April 26, 1933.

Pilot George Detré finished as first in the race when he flew the 1,243 mls (2,000 km) two-stage course with an average speed of 200.58 mph (322.81 kmh) in 6 hr, 11 min, 45 sec, on May 29, 1933.
