02/28/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Original produced as a G-64 UF-1, BuNo 141266, this aircraft was one of 51 from all UF-1 batches converted to G-111 UF-2, redesignated HU-16D in 1962. Withdrawn from use it was registered as N693S to the USN on January 14, 1980, and subsequently operated by the Smithsonian Institute.

Reportedly sold to the Florida Air Museum at Lakeland, Florida, presently displayed at Royal Pacific Resort, Orlando, Florida."
