08/31/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This DC-4 was delivered to the USAAF on June 26, 1945 as a C-54D-10-DC Skymaster, s/n 42-72683. It was withdrawn from use on and placed in storage at the MASDC, Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona, USA, on June 14, 1966.

On that same date, the aircraft was purchased by the Turkish Air Force and assigned s/n ET-683. It was subsequently withdrawn from use and put on display at the Turkish Air Force Museum at Yesilkoy (now known as Istanbul Ataturk Airport)."
