This two-seat aircraft was designed by Ed Marquart in late-sixties
and sets of prints were marketed to home-builders. One of the first
buyers was Daniel Fielder, Ed and Daniel together built the first
MA-5 Charger that made its maiden flight in 1971. It changed hands
several times and was deregistered on April 16, 2001, as being
destroyed.
Ed sold about 500 sets of prints and welded 39 airframes, at least
45 MA-5 Charger's are still on the FAA Registry.
