05/01/2004. Remarks by Eut Tileston (pictured): "Made from a Tailwind kit, during construction it was so highly modified that it is hardly a Tailwind anymore, modifications include:

Folding wings
Tricycle landing gear (required changes to fuselage and motor mount)
Full-span flaperons
Modified fin and rudder (mostly shape).

I finished my "Tailwind" in 1963 in a blue color scheme and had it registered as Tileston Drag'N'Fly, with the c/n JET 101. Later modifications were:

Repainted in yellow
Cross over exhaust
Ram air induction (ala Mooney)
New cowl
More fairings.

These changes increased the speed about 20 mph (32 kmh)."
