01/31/2011. Grupo Aeromot (Aeromot Indústria Mecânico-Metalúrgica Ltda-Aeromot Aeronaves e Motores SA) acquired the production rights for the French Fournier RF-10 and started production in 1988, when the first AMT-100 Ximango was flown. Powered by an 80 hp Limbach L2000EL1 engine, the initial model was very similar to the original RF-10. It was followed by a number of versions:
AMT-100P, for (para) military and police roles, including surveillance and patrol, and featured additional lower cockpit windows.
AMT-100R, similar to the AMT-100P, but also suitable for reconnaissance work with special equipment installed.
AMT-200 Super Ximango, a refined AMT-100 model with a 81 hp Rotax 912A2 engine under a slightly modified cowl, first flown in July 1987.
AMT-200P Patrulha, introduced during 2004, this was also for (para) military and police roles. It had provisions for special mission equipment such as FLIR, electronic and camera reconnaissance systems, and an endurance of some 12 hours.
AMT-200S Super Ximango S, AMT-200 with 100 hp Rotax 912S4 engine. This variant was ordered by the USAF Academy in 2001, and designated
TG-14A for flight screening and primary training.
AMT-200SO Obsevador, AMT-200S model equipped with photo and TV cameras for observation work and used by several Police agencies in Brazil.
