08/31/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Sportsman was designed by Volmer Jensen and the original aircraft, was first flown on December 22, 1958. By early 1979 over 800 plans had been sold and about 100 had been flying, 46 are still registered in the USA as of this day. The pictured aircraft was built by Bond and was first flown in 1972."
