35545 A.C. The "survivor of an airplane crash" is placed
aboard a Stinson L-5 Liason airplane in the Rocky Mountains during
training of students by the Para-rescue and Land Survival School of
the USAF. Although the six-week course begins at the
school's home station, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida, USA, the
last two weeks are spent in the desert of western Texas, USA and the
mountainous areas of the western USA. Graduate students who
have been trained in jungle, arctic and desert survival and parachute
rescue techniques, are assigned to world-wide units of Military Air
Transport Services's Air Rescue Service.
