Fairey Battle T.Mk.I

Remarks by Ron Dupas: "The man standing in the foreground is my uncle. This photo was identified by Mark Stewart, a Spitfire researcher in the UK who remarks that 35 Fairey Battles were lost out of 63 (75 total lost aircraft) on May 14, 1940 in attacks on bridges near Albert, Picardy, France."

Remarks by Carlo Soliani: "Fairey Battle T.Mk.I in the livery of a Service Training Flying School of RCAF. The plane is painted in yellow with black, oblique stripes. In the book "The Hamlyn Concise Guide to British Aircraft of WW II" on page 96 there is a colour profile of a similar plane with the same livery and individual number (5). The caption tells: "Fairey Battle T.Mk.I of No. 8 Service Training Flying School, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, in mid-1943."
