Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8

05/14/2004. Remarks by Hans-Gerd Brummel: "The depicted aircraft is a version with BMW 801 radial engine (short nose), which are found on the Fw 190 A and Fw 190 F series. The aircraft in the photo has the larger late war bulges of the fuselage MG 131 cover, which were only found on the Fw 190 A-7, Fw 190 A-8, Fw 190 A-9 (fighters) and the Fw 190 F-8, Fw 190 F-9 (fighter bomber/ground attack aircraft). The aircraft also shows the late war blown canopy, which excludes the Fw 190 A-7. Production date: late 1944 - end of war."

08/22/2022. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The aircraft has been identified as an Fw 190 A-8, while the 'YO' indicates the RCAF No. 401 Squadron."
